This has got to be my favorite movie.
Why? Why not!
The story is fun. The Pirates of the Caribbean is classic Disney, who wouldn’t like it?
The characters are fun. Depp’s persona for Jack Sparrow was genius. After seeing him in the role, there is only one Captain Jack Sparrow.
Some movies have no storyline, they only have a thread of a story that ties all the special effects scenes together. Not this one, the special effects tip the scale, they don’t break it.
I love the Caribbean. I could spend my life down there.

Last night at Walnut Creek I heard what I thought was Jimmy Buffett’s best concert ever. I’ve bought enough of his music, books, and gone to enough of his concerts over the years to fund at least one of his expeditions. He is the master in finding a story, living it, and then sharing it with others.
So reminiscing back to the concert got me to thinking about how much social media and Jimmy Buffett have in common …

Alex Lindsay from the MacBreak podcast talks about the Canon 5D MkII at the recent National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) 2009 show. Sure, the camera is sold as a still camera … but it’s not just another digital SLR. It shoots stills at up to 21.1 megapixels (5,616 x 3,744 pixels) AND does video – 30 frames/sec – giving you up to 12 minutes of full HD at 1920×1080, or 30 minutes of SDTV at 640×480 resolution.

The master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his information and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence at whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he is always doing both.
